As we go through life, do we learn anything meaningful? Hopefully most of us do. Here is a collection of proverbs and guidelines to live by, that I have collected over the years.
This section, unlike most of those containing my history papers, will never be complete. I plan to work on it, adding new bits of wisdom, for as long as both I and this website are around. As far as I'm concerned, life is a constant learning experience, and if we ever reach the point where we don't want to learn anymore, then the Lord might as well take us out right there.
This is not meant to be the manual for some new religion, despite the pompous title. I have seen some web pages dedicated to strange new cults, like the Church of the Gerbil. Since a lot of those pages are just plain silly, I have concluded they were written by people with too much time on their hands (it's enough work to create and maintain a good page). Nor is this a serious philosophical work. I have included some funny sayings here, since I believe humor is a great teaching tool. Life is too short to take entirely seriously.
I am open to suggestions, if you can think of anything to add; just e-mail them to me. Now pick a chapter from the table below, read and enjoy!
