The Genesis Chronicles: A Proposed History Of The Morning Of The World
My Biblical Chronology, From Adam to the Exile
To make the narrative easier to follow, on the pages where I discuss Biblical events, here are my dates for when the main characters of the Old Testament lived, reigned, etc. I draw these dates from a variety of sources, the main one being the Old Testament itself, of course. Though it has taken me thirty years of study to get to this point, I do not consider these dates to be "perfect" or "final." I have changed them in the past when new evidence came along that compelled me to do so, and I'll probably change some of them again in the future. For example, I use an ancient Egyptian myth to calculate the date for the Tower of Babel (363 years before the first pharaoh). And on my FAQ page, I explain why I don't use Archbishop Ussher's chronology, as many others do. In conclusion, let me say that these dates are consistent with all the historical material I have at this time.
