The Barney Connection

For some reason, those who preach numerology always leave a bad taste in my mouth. It's probably because you can prove anything if you play with enough numbers, as with the pyramidology business I mentioned on another page. You may also have seen the numerological "proof" that Barney the Dinosaur, a popular kiddie show character, is really Satan:

What is Barney? He is a

CUTE PURPLE DINOSAUR

Two thousand years ago they didn't have a letter "U"; the Romans used "V" for both U and V. Hence,

CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR

Now take out the letters that can be used as Roman numerals.

C V V L D I V

Add them up, and what do you get?

	DCLXVI	666

Therefore, Barney is Satan.
